IMThing Privacy Policy
IMThing (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides IoT GPS tracking and device management services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect your personal data.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data: email, phone number, login credentials (encrypted/hashed), profile info.
- Device data: IMEI, device name, groups, alert/geofence/location settings.
- Location/tracking data: GPS coordinates, speed, heading, timestamps, routes, geofence events.
- Notification data: push token(s) and required delivery metadata.
- Order/payment data: order number, status, channel, transaction identifiers.
- Diagnostics/logs: app version, OS/device info, crash/error logs for security and troubleshooting.
2. How We Use Data
- Provide core services: tracking, playback, geofence, alerts, device management.
- Secure accounts and prevent abuse/fraud.
- Process payments, renewals, and service lifecycle actions.
- Send service notifications and operational updates.
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Permissions
- Location: map centering and location-related features.
- Camera: QR scan and capture flows.
- Photos: image upload flows.
- Notifications: alerts and system messages.
You can manage permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
4. Sharing
We may share minimum necessary data with service providers (cloud hosting, push, maps, payment, security) to provide and secure the service. We do not sell personal data for money.
5. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for service operation, legal compliance, security, and dispute handling. Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer required.
6. Account Deletion
You can request deletion in-app via Profile > Delete Account. Certain data may be retained where required by law.
7. International Transfers
Data may be processed in different regions. We apply safeguards such as encryption, access control, and contractual protections.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or withdrawal of consent.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational controls including encryption in transit, least-privilege access, and audit logging. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or via appropriate channels.
